Upgrading your computer.

If you clicked to this page without reading anything else, you won't know that we buy our parts through the trade and pass the savings on to you - we just charge you for our time.

Before venturing into upgrading your computer you must establish whether the exercise really is worthwhile.
A $50 upgrade frequently does the trick, but just as easily a $200 upgrade could be a total waste of money.

An easy way to explain this is to use the following analogy:

Imagine your computer as being a traffic jam of old rickety buses on the freeway. If we take away one bus and replace it with a ferrari, the ferrari still can't go any faster than the buses in front of it!

That's why you need an expert to decide whether you need to upgrade or replace. As a typical example, we have seen many people spend money on a faster modem only to ask us why it doesn't seem to go any faster than their old one. In many cases the answer is simple - their I/O port won't go any faster.

So if you wish to upgrade please call us first and we will advise you. Remember - We can buy the parts through the trade and pass the savings on to you. We just charge you for the fitting.
