you don't really need, and being treated like a nobody,
then you will find this site an invaluable source of

At Computer Tutor you won't
find any 19 years olds who pretend they know things they
don't really have a clue about, or anyone who just wants
to sell, sell, sell.
Nor will you find anyone who confuses you with jargon or
treats you like "they know it all"..
You will find a friend in the
industry, who's primary job it is to always choose the
least expensive route for you! We don't make giant
mark-ups on sales, we just charge you for our time - at
roughly half what the megastores will.

whether you want a new computer or a $50 upgrade. ....

Hi, my name is Monty and I own Computer Tutor.
I want to put a stop to people being ill-advised
and suckered into spending far too much money by
the large computer stores. Many people who come
to me have bought a computer at the major stores
only to feel stranded afterwards. They have
almost always spent a few hundred dollars more
than they needed!
Others have been quoted ridiculous prices for an
upgrade, or told they need a new computer when it
was quite obvious they didn't. A super store
won't tell you if a $50 upgrade will do the trick
- they want to sell you a new computer!!!
Super-store sales assistants are usually at the
bottom of their career ladder. This may mean they
have the worst possible combination of
inexperience, unaccountability, and a hungry
appetite for commission.
You see, until recently I owned a computer retail
outfit, so I know the way some sales staff can
behave - and now I want you to benefit from my
experience as a buyer AND a seller.
When I bought my first computer, I took it home
and didn't know what to do. "Where's the
instruction manual?" I thought. I remember
wishing there was somebody I could call who would
help me when I got stuck or even when I just
wanted some advice. Now there is - Computer Tutor
We are proud of our different approach. We are
not computer resellers, we are simply advisors -
that is the only way for YOU to be sure we are
unbiased. We will protect you from the commission
hungry salesmen. We will decide together exactly
which computer is best for you, and then we will
find it for you at a price far less than the
superstores.
If you already have a computer and you feel
you're not getting the most from it, we can help
you too. If it's misbehaving we'll make it do
what you tell it! If there's something you don't
know how to do, we'll teach you. If you need an
upgrade we'll charge parts at cost and you only
pay us for our time.
We want to make friends with our customers.... to
us, you are a name and not a number ; so please
call us whatever your needs and we will always do
our best to help you.
Please don't pay $75 per hour to the superstores
- try us instead.
