...are so many companies be giving away freebies?  It's simple.  These organizations need your attention!  There are 350 million web pages out there, and they are competing for visitors.

Rather than pay millions in expensive T.V advertising, many of them prefer to offer you money or freebies just to visit their site.

It hasn't quite reached the stage where you can earn a living wage just by surfing the internet, but each and every month you can earn a few hundred dollars doing something you enjoy - something you would be doing anyway.

This varies from program to program, but generally falls into these categories :

Goods / Merchandise
1.Free Samples
Receive free samples and report whether you liked them.

2. Conversions
Manufacturers give you free goods to try and convert you to their product.

3. Brand Recognition
New brands looking for greater recognition in the marketplace will give you their products for nothing.

4. Coupons
Online coupons for traditional bricks and mortar stores - a way of getting you in the door.  You print them off and use them in your local store as if you had clipped them from your local newspaper.

Money
1.Advertising
Online advertising agencies will give you a small advert bar to display on your screen, similar to the Windows Task Bar at the bottom of your screen.  The advert bars are usually very small and don't get in the way too much.  You will be paid either per advert, per hour, or a percentage of whatever the ad agency is charging their client.  Each agency usually only allows you to surf for a limited amount of hours, you you need to join more than one.  Once you have reached your limit with one advert bar for the month, switch to another.  Although some people are uncomfortable with the idea of having more advertising pushed at them, it makes a nice change for advertisers to pay us for looking at their ads - if only they did that on TV or radio!

2.Sign-ups.
Some online malls and businesses will automatically credit your account when you sign up for the first time.  This is easy money.  For example, PayPal enables you to send (or receive) money to anyone who has an email address - and they will credit your account with $5.00 just for joining.  Only $5.00?  Well, it took us about 5 minutes so that's $60.00 per hour!

3.Start pages.
Set your internet browser to start on a certain page and they will pay you a few cents every time you open it!  An excellent example of this is Ignifuge.com
